Guidelines For Our Guest Blog

Avoid Controversial Topics: As far a possible try to avoid writing about controversial topics. History, religion and politics are sensitive issues and they tend to offend people easily. But if you are insistent on writing about these topics we suggest that you keep your views strictly personal. Do not try to enforce your opinions on anyone and try not to discriminate between people and religions. Since public opinion differs greatly, you will probably take a lot of heat from various quarters. You should be prepared to deal with such eventualities as well if your post gets published.

Keep It Simple: Remember that most of your followers are everyday users of the internet. Their knowledge of Shakespeare probably ends at Romeo and Juliet. So, try to think like them and write with a simple theme in mind. Keep your work free flowing and easy to read. Small words and smaller sentences are easier to understand. Big boring paragraphs are ideal for school exams for but not blogs. Break your paragraphs down to three or four sentences at the most.

Conversational Tone: There is a stark difference between writing a blog and article. Blogs are informal and the tone should be chatty. Talk to your reader, and make him relate to you. Add light hearted comments which bring a smile to the readers face. You will surely get a larger following if you do this and the chances of your blogs actually being published also significantly increases. If you know what I mean! Most readers log online to lose themselves from the daily grind and they are looking for humorous blogs which they can relate to. Keep that in mind!

Original Work: The content which you send to us has to be original and completely yours. If you are quoting someone or copying a source then make sure that you use quotations and also remember that all our articles go through a copyscape test. If your work fails the test then it will not be published. And you might not get a second bite at the cherry either. Also provide links and references for any images which you might have used in your work.
